40142/48/63/67/69/203 Fitted with Type 6B boilers with larger barrel and superheater.

Number Series 40071-40209.

40071-40184 Built at London Midland & Scottish Railway's Derby Works.

The first withdrawals were 40139 and 40169 in October 1959 and the last twelve locos of the class were withdrawn together in December 1962. None are preserved.
