Introduced 1911. Robinson GCR design (LNER Class O4). Built from 1917 for Railway Operating Division, RE. Purchased by GWR in 1919 and 1925, and subsequently equipped with GWR boiler fittings.

Number Series 3000-3099.

Of the 80 locos (3020-3099) taken into stock in June 1925, all were taken out of stock in October 1925. They were then split into 2 batches, Lots 240 and 241.

The first withdrawals 3000/1 were made in August 1946 and the last loco 3015 was withdrawn in October 1958. None are preserved.
