Introduced 1924. Collett design for service in Welsh valleys.
6600-6699 Introduced 1927. Later locos with detail alterations.

Withdrawals began in May 1962 when 5636, 5639, 5682 and 6687 were condemmed. The last loco, 6697 was withdrawn from Wrexham, Croes Newydd shed in May 1966. Some are preserved.

Number Series 5600-5699, 6600-6699.
