Charles B. Collett. Total Number Built - 50.
Introduced 1928. Collett rebuild with detail alterations and increased weight of Churchwood - 3100 Class of 1903. 5100 rebuilt from 3100, 5111-5149 from 3111-3149.

Number Series 5100-49.

Built at Great Western Railway Swindon Works.

10 Locos 5100/23/18/45/24/26/20/16/33/15 were rebuilt as 8100 Class at Swindon during 1938-39 and renumbered 8100-8109 respectively.

The first withdrawal, 5149 was made in 1947 and the last loco 5148 was withdrawn in 1959. None are preserved.
